Wilshire Residences is within 10 to 15 mins drive to Orchard Road, CBD, Sentosa and the Integrated Resorts. The Government has in its latest Draft Master Plan 2019 announced plans to rejuvenate the CBD with vibrancy and diversity. This will be through incentivising private developers to convert their existing buildings into hotels and homes or creating spaces to encourage public interaction. This will ramp up activities that will be available around the clock and wider choices for residents at Wilshire Residences.
Wilshire Residences will also benefit from the Master Plan for the Greater Southern Waterfront, which expands from Pasir Panjang to Marina East. Sentosa is also included to expand the island’s night-time offerings through bars, food trucks and live music. Sentosa’s masterplan for 2030 includes new attractions and improved transport connectivity and beaches. The night activities will support and fit in with the larger long-term plants for the Greater Southern Waterfront.
Not forgetting about the economy, the operators of the two integrated resorts (IRs) will pump in $9 billion to build world-class attractions including three new hotels, a 15,000 seat entertainment arena and extensions to Universal Studios Singapore (USS). A fourth tower will be added to the iconic Marina Bay Sands (MBS) development. The $9 billion investment is almost two-thirds of the IRs’ initial investment of about $15 billion in 2006. Indeed with the central location of Wilshire Residences, these amenities are easily accessible within a short drive away and residents will be spoilt for choices.
